I agree we need to acknowledge negative feelings and look into why they occurred and deal with them accordingly.

Thinking only positive may be helpful for getting things done more easily, but on the other side it is not necessarily a sign of empathy and social behaviour which are really much more important. And when you look what is going on here on our planet, negative feelings are just a normal reaction and nothing unusual or bad.
