Those who are happy become happy even in a false compliment. But it is not brag, Duniyadari and Khanapurti. A compliment does not mean to tickle someone’s ego. It is difficult to praise well. True bravado is when we tell what we have got by trying the front, what is its value and what others can get from it. The correct compliment is more to the person, his work and decisions than to the outward appearance.

    Those who are happy are already happy. A real compliment or false praise does not affect their happy state.

    An ego expects praise,only praise. It doesn’t accept suggestions. Rather rejects the very thought.

    An ego less state is happy and welcomes any critical feedback to improve itself.

I totally agree with you , I made up my mind as a child to be a happy person no matter what , I came from a lot of abuse in my childhood by both parents emotional ,verbal physical and yet I still managed to come out of that and not be a bully and not hurt other people.. my mother said when I was a baby I could lay on a blanket in the park and look at a blade of grass or flower for hours and not be bored I’m still the same person 68 years old and I’m still the same way .. I’ve been through a lot I’ve met terrible narcissist bullies and everything else ,,I’ve had terrible health problems many surgeries but when we look in the mirror we see our best friend and our worst enemy we have to make up our mind who were going to be .
